It is a preparatory course that aims to prepare the student for the Quranic Ijazah program through the Riwayah of Hafs from Aasim.
It aims to provide the foundation for all tajweed matters that were previously studied and expand on the knowledge base for many topics, in order to fulfill the ayah:
“ يا يحيى خذ الكتاب بقوة”

This course will also serve as a strong foundation to study other Qira’aat. Our scholars unanimously agreed that whoever wants to study the Qira’aat should start with the narration of Hafs from Asim.
Main Topics
From amongst the most important topics covered in this program:
1. Explanation of the Usool of Hafs from the Way of Al-Shatibiyyah in an accurate and intensive manner
2. Exposure to some Farshiyaat (فرشيّات) and Infiradaat (انفرادات)
3. A detailed explanation of the interactions between nearby letters (تجاور الحروف)
4. Addressing some issues pertaining to the Uthmanic Script/ Rasm al-Uthmani
5. All the required information for the Quranic Ijazah that would prepare the student to pass the exam.
Course Expectations
Pre-requisites:
1. That the student has passed the standard levels of tajweed (introductory levels and advanced levels).
2. The student should be enrolled in the Itqan program or other similar programs such as the Quranic Ijazah program or classes that are specific to teachers.
Duration: 1 Semester
Assessment: End of course assessment and in-class assessments during the course.
